Zach founded Second Street in 2023, following a career as a hedge fund investor at Elliott Management. Long days in the NYC office had him thinking about somewhere else—Costa Rica. With the strong belief that great borrowers deserve the world, Zach built Second Street to deliver the world to them.
Steve brings over 20 years of experience in the US mortgage industry to Second Street. At Better Mortgage, he led a team of over 400 people and later built a lending platform as the 5th employee at a high profile fintech startup. Now Steve is channeling his cultivated talent for building teams, leadership, and a passion for exceptional customer service to bring the Second Street vision to life in vibrant Costa Rica.

Mike is committed to delivering outstanding results for our clients, drawing on more than ten years in U.S. mortgage lending. Most recently, Mike was Director of Operations for Homeward, a prop tech startup where he built agile, high-performing, teams to support the company’s rapid growth. Previously, he was a Senior Underwriter at Wells Fargo. He looks forward to leveraging his experience to enable as many borrowers as possible to experience “pura vida".
Allen is an influential pioneer and mentor in Costa Rican real estate. A resident of Costa Rica since 2004, he has been an independent real estate broker in Guanacaste for over 15 years and is the founder and former Owner of Keller Williams in Costa Rica. Allen also served for 10 years as the President of CRGAR, Costa Rica's premier NAR-affiliated real estate industry association. He has helped thousands of clients fulfill their dreams of home ownership in Costa Rica.

Raj brings 25 years of banking, mortgage, and fintech leadership to Second Street. He previously helped launch LendingTree’s purchase-mortgage arm before steering growth at several venture-backed fintech companies. Today, Raj leverages his lending expertise and local knowledge to provide white-glove guidance to U.S. clients financing homes in Costa Rica.
